This shows the front and back of the quilt.
Here's a picture of the front. Grandma embroidered Froglette's name on the bottom right corner.The quilt ended up a little thicker than anticipated due to a slight problem with the 1st backing made out of flannel. Sissy and I found this super cute striped flannel on a killer deal when she was in Portland back in August. The issue arose when I went to sew the top and bottom together. I haven't used flannel before and didn't realize how much it would stretch and pull. So after I realized that the flannel backing wasn't going to work, Mom and I head back to the fabric store. We found a really cute bright cotton fabric. This change in the backing fabric also meant that I had to rethink the quilting of the quilt. In the end I choose to tie it with red yarn. Although I am slightly biased I think that the finished quilt turned out to be awesome!
The next project that I am working on is a quilt for Mom. I will hopefully take some pictures tomorrow to post.
